STORY:

Actor Narendra (Naresh) is a well-renowned figure in the Telugu industry. Despite having amassed a great fortune, he struggles to find inner peace due to a few failed marriages. His most recent one to Soumya Sethupathi (Vanitha Vijayakumar) does not provide him any solace either. One day while on a movie shoot, he runs away with Kannada actress Parvathy (Pavitra Lokesh). As their relationship progresses, Narendra begins to express his feelings to Parvathy. Despite not having a great love life herself, Parvathy is wary of the public scrutiny that comes with dating a famous actor, and is reluctant to pursue a relationship with him. This brings a unique challenge for the two of them to coexist, which forms the core of the story.

PERFORMANCE:

The casting of Malli Pelli is another great development. Everyone competed with one another and performed a wonderful performance. Despite limited screen time, Jayasudha, Annapoornamma, and Sarath Kumar leave an impression. It was wonderful to watch Naresh in a main part because he is such a talented performer. In this movie, Naresh was in his element, and Pavitra Lokesh did a great job of supporting him. She gave an excellent performance and provided nuance to the proceedings.

But Vanitha Vijayakumar was unquestionably the star. She performed superbly in her role as Naresh’s wife, and she won the prize. Both portions of the movie provide a respectable amount of drama and humour that will keep people interested.

POSITIVES:

The filmmaker’s decision to tell the story in chapters worked well for the film. The chapter titled “The Mistake” was especially well-done, as it focused on the characters of Narendra and Soumya and their live-in romance. It was vital for the actors to have chemistry in their scenes, which the creators managed perfectly. There were also some amusing moments in this chapter that really contributed to the overall success of the film.

The filmmaker told the story of “The Mistake” in chapters, and this format worked really well for this movie. The chapter starring Narendra and Soumya was particularly well done, as it is important that the two actors have a good rapport in order to bring the characters’ live-in romance to life. The creators of this movie managed to get the balance between the humorous moments and the serious ones just right, which is what makes the movie so enjoyable to watch.

NEGATIVES:

Everyone is aware that the film is based on the true stories of Pavitra Lokesh and Naresh. As a result, it could provoke a strong reaction from a few people who serve as the inspiration for a few characters. It is unknown how much of the events shown in the movie were real and how much of it was fiction. Even while the film offers entertainment and drama, some people may find it insulting.

Boredom results from Parvathy’s character’s stretched-out flashback section. The second hour starts with this history, hurting the flow after the first hour’s strong points. The second half of the movie is largely squandered, but as the end of the movie draws closer, things start to make sense.

VERDICT:

The story of a brave couple in Malli Pelli has a few things working in their favour. Vanitha Vijayakumar, Naresh, Pavitra Lokesh, and Jayasudha all do well in their respective roles. Despite the fact that the film is based on the true lives of Naresh and Pavitra, M.S. Raju was able to produce some amusing moments. However, the veracity of the story remains a mystery. So, it turns out to be a passable movie to see this weekend.

FILMY CORNER RATING : 2.5/5
